Where to start?

So, you want to start a career in the powerline industry and you don't know where to start. Well, that's not a problem anymore. I have created a simple guide to assist you in landing a position in the powerline industry. So let's get started.

What's needed.

  1. Must be 18 years of age before class start date.

  2. Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D

  3. Must provide a current Motor Vehicle Report

  4. Must pass and produce a current drug screen from a licensed medical provider.

  5. Must pass sports physical exam

  6. Must attend PLA orientation

  7. Tuition Fees must be paid in full before the due date.

All information must be complete and submitted before each student is accepted into the program.



Where do I go to get information.

You are at the right place. First, you need to identify the following things.

  1. Where do you live? This is important you need to figure out if your high school vocational program offers a pre-apprentice Lineworker program. If so, identify the consular/instructor and set up a meeting. Ask about the schedule and what's needed to get into the program.
